First Impressions

Bloom is a floral London Dry produced by Greenall's — Tuscan juniper, French chamomile, Chinese honeysuckle and pomelo are the four pillars, joined by Indonesian cubeb pepper. Named for the floral bloom of its botanical character. Platinum Medal at World Spirits Competition 2010.

Tasting

The nose evokes white lilies and pansies with mild chamomile and honeysuckle. On the palate, honeyed entry with citrus and blossom — balanced floral character with honeysuckle sweetness calmed by chamomile, pomelo citrus rounding. The finish is smooth and easy to sip.

The Bottom Line

Bloom earns a 7 for a masterclass in botanical balance. The honeysuckle-chamomile-pomelo combination creates genuinely floral gin without losing juniper identity. A solid gin for the learning gin-taster. At around £22, excellent value for a Platinum Medal winner.
