Tasting Notes

Nose

Dry citrus floral top notes — fresh and welcoming

Palate

Sweet spicy mid-notes following the citrus — sugary sweetness with subtle woody juniper and vanilla hint, strong citrus with zesty lemon upfront and warm coriander at the heel

Finish

Moreish with smooth spiced close — the grain-to-glass process evident in the clean, characterful texture

First Impressions

Copper Rivet Dockyard Gin celebrates Chatham Dockyard's naval heritage — one of only six UK distilleries controlling the entire grain-to-glass process. Wheat, barley and rye grown nearby are distilled in the patented copper still Janet in 900-bottle batches.

The Bottom Line

Dockyard Gin earns a 7 for genuine grain-to-glass provenance from a naval heritage site. The 900-bottle batches ensure craft integrity, and the locally grown grain gives it terroir. A contemporary gin with deep historical roots.
