Tasting Notes

Nose

Floral chamomile with fresh citrus peel — vibrant and bright with juniper underneath

Palate

Smooth glossy mouthfeel — liquorice, juniper and coriander to the fore, bright citrus with bold lime and pink grapefruit, cardamom warmth

Finish

Subtle florals with irresistibly smooth close — liquorice and coriander lingering, crisp and refreshing

First Impressions

Cygnet is a luxury Welsh gin founded by Katherine Jenkins OBE, distilled at the historic Penderyn Copper Works in Swansea. Twelve botanicals including chamomile, pink grapefruit and four different citrus peels are distilled with the purest Welsh water.

Tasting

The nose is floral chamomile with fresh citrus peel — vibrant and bright. On the palate, smooth glossy mouthfeel with liquorice, juniper and coriander, bright citrus from lime and pink grapefruit. The finish is smooth and refreshing.

The Bottom Line

Cygnet earns a 7 for a luxury Welsh gin with genuine star power. The chamomile adds distinctive softness, and the four citrus peels create vibrant brightness. Best with light tonic to let the flavours breathe.
