Tasting Notes

Nose

Ripe olive and nutmeg — floral orange blossom hints with herbal juniper layer

Palate

Very dry with silky texture — dry juniper with a hint of cilantro, nice earthy quality with olives, savoury and subtly coastal

Finish

Long and lingering with juniper and olive — the savoury character persisting with Mediterranean warmth

First Impressions

Gin Eva La Mallorquina uses pomace from Mallorcan La Mallorquina olives, steeped in alcohol for several weeks, then distilled and blended with juniper distillate and a touch of coriander. Just three botanicals creating something genuinely unique. World's Best Signature Botanical Gin at the 2019 World Gin Awards.

Tasting

The nose shows ripe olive and nutmeg with floral orange blossom hints and herbal juniper. On the palate, very dry with silky texture — dry juniper and cilantro, an earthy quality with olives, savoury and subtly coastal. The finish is long with juniper and olive persisting.

The Bottom Line

Gin Eva La Mallorquina earns an 8 for radical simplicity — three botanicals creating something no other gin tastes like. The olive character is savoury without being overpowering, and the juniper-coriander backbone keeps it recognisably gin. World's Best Signature Botanical for good reason.
