Red hedgerow fruits with bright raspberry and cooked strawberry — elevated citrus with zippy lemon-orange, dense confident juniper undulating through citrus and spice

Finish

Earthy Vietnamese coriander with lingering berry — the changing of seasons captured in a glass

First Impressions

Rock Rose Autumn Edition bursts with Caithness Summer Fruits blackberries and raspberries plus locally gathered blaeberries. Vietnamese coriander and nasturtium flowers from the distillery's geodome add warming spice. The taste of autumn in the far north of Scotland.

Tasting

The nose shows sweet berries with spicier nasturtium — autumnal comfort of toffee apples. On the palate, hedgerow fruits with raspberry and strawberry, zippy citrus and dense juniper. The finish is earthy with lingering berry.

The Bottom Line

Rock Rose Autumn earns an 8 for the most autumnal gin in the seasonal range. The Vietnamese coriander and nasturtium from the geodome add warmth that local foraged berries alone cannot achieve. The changing of seasons in a glass from Scotland's most northerly mainland distillery.
