Finish

Medium to long, clean and warming with a pleasant creamy sweetness.

Dingle Distillery occupies a picturesque position on the Wild Atlantic Way in County Kerry, and their vodka — five-times distilled from pure grain — reflects something of that landscape's clean, unspoiled character. This is a relatively small operation, and the attention to detail in the spirit is evident.

Five distillations have produced a vodka of considerable purity, with a clean, slightly sweet nose that offers soft grain, a hint of toffee and delicate floral notes. The palate is smooth and creamy, with a gentle sweetness that is characteristic of the best Irish spirits — there is a warmth and generosity here that feels distinctly Celtic.

The grain character is well-defined without being assertive, providing enough flavour to make neat sipping rewarding while remaining sufficiently neutral for mixing. The creaminess is particularly noteworthy — a textured, almost silky mouthfeel that adds to the overall impression of quality.

At just over thirty-four pounds, Dingle sits in the premium bracket, and the quality justifies the positioning. This works beautifully neat over ice, in a Martini, or simply with tonic and a twist of lemon. A thoroughly accomplished Irish vodka from a distillery that is rapidly building a formidable reputation across its entire range.
