Tasting Notes

Nose

Pine leaps from the glass — heavy doses of juniper with pine blossom and dried fir needles, beeswax alongside sweet floral aroma with a dryness that cuts through the honeyed notes

Palate

Lusciously viscous — immediately noticeable body from the raw honey, early pine and grass at the tip of the tongue, wildflower honey with green leafiness mid-palate, darker resinous juniper blooming with warmth

Finish

Exceptionally long — over a minute of warm richness, juniper burning out very slowly, holding its warmth before gradually receding into honeyed memory

Expert Review

9/10

Three ingredients. The first ever 100-point score in American spirits history. Todd Hardie — career beekeeper with 1,900 colonies in Vermont's Champlain Valley — adds raw Northern honey post-distillation, giving each batch a faint straw hue that shifts with the seasons. Pine leaps from the glass, the palate is lusciously viscous with wildflower honey and resinous juniper, and the finish lasts over a minute. Radical minimalism from Montpelier, Vermont.
