Tasting Notes

Nose

Bright, piney and sharp — pure Italian juniper unmasked, resinous and clean, no competing botanicals to hide behind, almost medicinal clarity with camphor and pine needle freshness

Palate

Light and almost watery at first, then the juniper character builds — sharp pine, gentle citrus undertones that the berry naturally provides, a clean purity that showcases exactly what premium Italian juniper tastes like in isolation

Finish

Remarkably long bright juniper aftertaste — lingers in the back of the throat, piney and clean, the single botanical proving it needs nothing else to sustain interest

Expert Review

7/10

A radical concept from Master of Malt: single-estate juniper from the sun-drenched slopes of Arezzo, Tuscany, cold-distilled in a rotary vacuum still at room temperature. The base spirit is nothing but juniper — a terroir experiment proving that Italian juniper from this region is among the finest in the world. Each bottle ships with a 10ml vial of nine additional botanicals for those who want a more traditional gin. Bright piney nose, sharp clean palate, remarkably long juniper finish.
