Nose

Herbal and fresh — sophisticated top notes of garden peas and hay, rosemary and thyme providing a Mediterranean herb garden quality, spearmint freshness cutting through, recognisably spirit-adjacent

Palate

Complex botanical character with peas providing an unusual vegetal sweetness — rosemary and thyme backbone, hops adding gentle bitterness and body, spearmint freshness, each botanical distinctly readable thanks to individual distillation

Finish

Clean and herb-driven — thyme and rosemary lingering, pea sweetness fading, shorter than alcoholic spirits but satisfying and composed, no artificial aftertaste

Ben Branson, a farmer's son, spent two years perfecting a recipe inspired by John French's 1651 The Art of Distillation, individually distilling six botanicals in copper pot stills before blending at 0% ABV. Launched in November 2015 to an immediate sell-out, now served in over 100 Michelin-starred restaurants worldwide. Peas and hay from Branson's own farm provide the signature English countryside character. Acquired by Diageo.
