Nose

Floral lavender and piney juniper — thyme and cardamom spice, orange zest, the linden blossom providing a delicate honeyed floral character that is uniquely German

Palate

Soft mouthfeel with gentle peppery spice — pronounced juniper and subtly incorporated citric notes, linden blossom providing full-bodied softness, thyme adding herbal depth, cardamom and ginger warmth, cubeb pepper spice

Finish

Full-bodied and soft with linden blossom — the mythology botanical having the last word, lavender fading, juniper persisting, a gin that tastes of the Rhineland

Named after the hero of the Nibelung Saga who slew a dragon and bathed in its blood to become invulnerable — except where a linden leaf landed on his back. Linden blossom is the lead botanical, tying the gin to one of Germany's foundational myths. Founded in 2014 in Bonn by Gerald Koenen and Raphael Vollmar, launched in 2015 to immediate acclaim: Best Gin at Hong Kong International Wine & Spirit Competition, Double Gold at World Spirits Awards Copenhagen. Eighteen botanicals including thyme, cardamom and cubeb pepper.
