Active virgin oak with vanilla, fudge and caramel — wood shavings with very faint delicate juniper notes underneath
Palate
Very creamy with oak, vanilla and fudge — room for cloves, pine and liquorice, the malt wine grain character providing whisky-like body
Finish
Medium length with oranges, caramel and a whisper of aniseed — toffee and rye bread earthiness
Expert Review
8/10Triple-distilled malt wine of corn, rye and malted barley — distilled a fourth time with juniper, liquorice and aniseed, then aged three years in virgin American oak. More whisky cousin than gin cousin.
