The palate is powerful. Apricots and candied fruits provide the fruit character, with Victoria sponge sweetness and orange marmalade adding richness. The texture is oily and fatty — almost unctuous — and the oak from ten years of maturation provides structure. At 64.2%, it's commanding and intense.
The finish is long with candied fruit, oak, and a powerful, lingering close.
