Dark toffee, treacle, cinnamon bark, dried orange peel, roasted nuts, tropical fruit

Palate

Rounded and accessible with brown sugar, vanilla, tropical fruit, gentle Jamaican funk, and warming spice

Finish

Medium with toffee and dried fruit

Coruba is one of those rums that quietly gets on with the job. Produced in Jamaica by J. Wray & Nephew, it offers honest dark rum character at a very accessible price point. It is not a rum that seeks headlines, but in cocktails and mixed drinks it delivers reliable flavour and genuine Caribbean character.

On the nose, expect dark toffee, treacle, cinnamon bark, dried orange peel, roasted nuts, and tropical fruit. The palate is rounded and accessible with brown sugar, vanilla, tropical fruit, gentle Jamaican funk, and warming spice. The finish is medium with toffee and dried fruit.

An excellent everyday rum for Dark and Stormys, Rum and Cokes, and baking. At this price, it is hard to argue with the value.
