Tasting Notes

Nose

Almond and citrus peel — lemongrass notes, the Kosovo terroir creating a juniper character distinct from the Montenegro expression, warmer and sweeter

Palate

Silky smooth — rich and lovely texture, warm without being smoky, brown sugar sweetness from the juniper, the 46% carrying the single botanical with authority, remarkably complex for one ingredient

Finish

Warm and smooth — the Kosovo mountain juniper's almond quality lingering, clean and contemplative

Expert Review

7/10

The second in Master of Malt's single-estate Origin series — juniper from Pejë in western Kosovo and nothing else. This terroir reveals almond, citrus peel, lemongrass, and brown sugar from the juniper alone. Silky smooth at 46% with a botanical vial to optionally add more.
