Tasting Notes

Nose

Strawberry bootlaces, raspberry coulis. Frangipane, plump sultanas, orange marmalade. Crisp golden pastry, walnut oils. The first-fill oloroso finishing from Jerez adds deep, nutty richness.

Palate

Intense dark fruitiness — banana, caramel, vanilla. Toffee-covered berries — redcurrant, raspberry, strawberry. Orange peels, cinnamon raisin bread. Prickly pepper builds through mid-palate. The oloroso has wrought considerable spiciness.

Finish

Quite long — toffee, cooling mint, palpable piquant pepperiness.
